Hey all! Been busy trying to update my portfolio. It just feels weird that whenever I present works to get jobs I always end up presenting stuff I did way back 2010. I don't even do those kind of stuff anymore. That's why I decided to do some new artworks so I can have an updated portfolio like a pro. wooot!

Had the urge to take a shot at Green Lantern again.
It actually feels nice that I can finally draw proper muscles and proportions now, and still learning though.
For comparisons sake, heres my old Green Lantern piece (a friend did the coloring for this):

Ugh, Its just ugly. I mean the drawing (coloring was actually nice). The perspective is off, the proportion is whacked. And whats with that expression? Man, my green lantern looks stupid. Remembering that I was actually proud of this makes me want to go back in time and smack my 2009-self in the face. Ugh.. uuuuugh.
Had a sudden realization that I can't seem to remember if I ever tried to drew this guy. I think its about time I try and take a shot at him. And since I already drew Batman, I tried and made his suit a bit of a comparison with Bats. Superman himself, folks. I don't even know if this would work colored haha.

Manila Noir - Not a review
Hello folks! I just finished reading Manila Noir a couple of days ago. Manila Noir is this Anthology of Noir stories set in Manila, Philippines. Check it here
I actually liked most of the stories in the book. There was a point where I simply can't put it down. Fans of the genre would certainly have a great time. So, do grab a copy if you can, it is worth it.
A couple of stories that I liked was Comforter of the Afflicted. The main character, Father Saenz is simply awesome. The Professor's Wife is interesting. I keep imagining what the professor's wife looks like. She must really be a looker to make three men fall for her charms. But the story that I enjoyed the most was A Human Right. I was engrossed by the relationship between Isabel and Elias, and I do enjoy a good revenge story with a good twist.

I enjoyed it so much that I simply can't resist making an illustration of it. And yes, aping Darwyn Cooke so bad here.
I guess that's it for now. See you later!

Trese
What's Trese? Well, if you've been hiding under a rock or is from another country (Trese's big here in the Philippines), Trese is, quoting wikipedia, tells the story of Alexandra Trese, a detective that deals with crimes of supernatural origin.[1]The third book, Trese: Mass Murders, won Best Graphic Literature in the 29th National Book Award last November 2010.
If you want to know more about it, check it here.
So yeah! I'm attempting a daily draw of sorts. Nothing really stellar, just some quick draws every day since I could only dedicate 1 hour at most everyday for this. This is my third shot at this things, the first was years ago I only lasted a few weeks. The second was weeklies, that was when I started this blog, which lasted a few months. Heres hoping that third times the charm. I'm open for suggestions/request on who/what you want to see me draw. I'll probably just treat this as daily exercise.
Stay tuned folks!

Marco's Delivery Service Redux?
Hello folks! Star Trek is just around the corner and the thing that sold the remake to me is the duo of Kirk and Spock. That duo was pretty dynamic to say the least. They were actually one of the two pair that I tried to base the dynamics of Frank and Jim, my two lead characters for Marco's Delivery Service (the other pair was Lupin and Jigen). With that being said I had this itch again to draw those two spaceboys. So yeah.
People have been asking if I've ever do a follow up for that one shot I released way back 2010. And if been evading it most of the time. Maybe I will, someday in the far future or the near future. But yeah, don't worry folks, I still haven't forgotten about these two. I just love them so much that it scares me to touch on them again in fear that it wouldn't live up to peoples expectations. But what the hell, right?
Oh and people who don't know what I'm rambling about and want to know what it is, Marco's Delivery Service is a one shot, 40 something page comic about two delivery guys, a troublesome package, a deal gone wrong and SPACE PIRATES! So yeah, do check it out, its available at amazon and itunes.
Cheers!

Mythspace Lift off part 2
Hey folks! Since I already sent it to the printers, I guess its pretty much safe to say now that Mythspace: Lift off part 2 will be sold at Summer Komikon! Hell yeeeahz! So yeah, its pretty cool that I made just in time with a couple of days to spare. I hope someone buys it or else I might end up sulking the whole day haha. Anyway, I guess obligatory post for my favorite panel from the whole thing? Ok, sure. Here's a my favorite panel from the whole part 2.
I think this was posted a couple of times already. But yeah, even after I finished the whole part 2 this is still my favorite panel. Oh and yeah. I might have changed a couple of stuff here and there.
Oh! And I guess as a final treat, here is a preview of what I intend to do to Bros for part 3 the finale for Lift off.
You might be wondering why the change, right? Well, you'll find out on part 2. I haven't shown this to Paolo, though. So it might change. So yeah, I guess this is it for now. Man, I can't believe Lift off is about to end already. Just when I was starting to enjoy it a lot.
Alright! See you later folks!

Challenge Accepted: Bakuman
So a friend challenged me to draw my favorite faux-manga from bakuman.
For me, my favorite is a toss up between Road Racer Giri and Detective Trap. I went with the latter for this. I got a little experimental with the colors. I should do challenges more often, its the only time I can experiment on stuff.
