Manila Noir - Not a review

Hello folks! I just finished reading Manila Noir a couple of days ago. Manila Noir is this Anthology of Noir stories set in Manila, Philippines. Check it here

I actually liked most of the stories in the book. There was a point where I simply can't put it down. Fans of the genre would certainly have a great time. So, do grab a copy if you can, it is worth it.

A couple of stories that I liked was Comforter of the Afflicted. The main character, Father Saenz is simply awesome. The Professor's Wife is interesting. I keep imagining what the professor's wife looks like. She must really be a looker to make three men fall for her charms. But the story that I enjoyed the most was A Human Right. I was engrossed by the relationship between Isabel and Elias, and I do enjoy a good revenge story with a good twist.

I enjoyed it so much that I simply can't resist making an illustration of it. And yes, aping Darwyn Cooke so bad here.

I guess that's it for now. See you later!
